How To Avoid Fast Food

You’re sitting all by yourself watching TV and eating takeaways because you don’t know how to cook. You’re a tired mom who lives on noodles and snack bars and is raising your kids on “fast food”. A teenage student who is raised by electronic babysitters and thinks McDonalds and burger king are the only food for mankind.

You could be anyone of these or could think up many other situations, characters that are all going down the pot belly alley, and later some hospital bed, because Oops, your heart problems just trebled while you were munching on that big fat juicy burger!

It is a good practice to avoid incidences that lead to a problem, because a wise man/woman/Something once said “precaution is the best medicine”. I will not give you all the gory details about what fast food can do to you. You have internet for that. What I can tell you though, are ways to divert your track and get on to a healthier one?

For starters, split your huge three times a day meal into smaller five or six periods of food intake. This will give your stomach less hell in small time and would also help you control yourself if there’s some really tempting food nearby.

Add a lot of water to your diet. Have fruit smoothies, juices, or lemonade (honey, lemon and water!!). Tell you what, the easiest drink could be some fruit that you have around, and yogurt (low fat) blended well and seasoned however way you like. Healthy and nutritious as anything!

Try staying off the unknown medical supplements or wonder tablets and develop your own diet plan. If you start of with a little research about crabs, fats, proteins, and vitamin etc. you’d soon learn what combinations suit you the best. If in doubt, you could talk to your doctor about it. Play around with your recipes and make them healthier. No one got hurt being a little inventive!
